If you are a British citizen and find yourself in an emergency situation when the Embassy is closed, please telephone  +46 (0)8 671 3000 for instructions. 

Embassy Security

Please note that visitors should bring a photo-id.

Please be aware that all visitors to the British Embassy need to identify themselves and must pass through an "airport-type" security check, therefore we recommend that visitors do not bring unnecessary items with them.

Persons who arrive with excess baggage may be turned away. At present liquids other than baby food are not admitted.

Directions

By bus: Bus no 69 from Sergels Torg to Ambassaderna. The trip takes approximately 15 minutes. The British Embassy is situated on Skarpögatan, directly behind the American Embassy.

By underground: Take the red line towards Ropsten to Karlaplan station. The Embassy is a 15 minute walk along Valhallavägen towards Gärdet.

By car: Please note that it is not possible to park in the area immediately around the Embassy as it is cordoned off.
