Nordic Baltic Network
The Nordic Baltic Network consists of the British Embassies in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden.
Nordic Baltic Network mission statement
The Nordic Baltic Network was launched in January 2009, bringing together the Nordic and Baltic Networks created in 2008 to integrate the work of British Embassies in the eight Nordic and Baltic countries.
Each Embassy remains fully sovereign within the country to which it is accredited and continues to carry out its bilateral business with its host government. But the Nordic Baltic Network has a single regional business plan and manages its resources jointly. The eight Ambassadors of the Network form the Board of Management, which is underpinned by Teams Nordic and Baltic (which promote UK trade and investment interests across the region through our UK Trade & Investment offices). We also work closely with the region management of the UK's consular operations, and of the UK Borders Agency in providing visa services.
We believe that by working together in this way we can offer a better service to customers and make a greater impact on British interests in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
